Everyone deserves access to safe and effective mental health care.
What doesn’t Places for People do to help people?? They pretty much do it all. While focusing on providing individualized care for mental illness and substance use disorder, they also provide HIV services, employment resources, parenting programs, suicide prevention and more. Like we said, what don’t they do?!
There are so many critical aspects to each person’s health and well-being that the modern, for-profit U.S. healthcare system ignores. Our patients need and deserve better. We should know, all of us work in the medical field and often experience the moral injury of knowing the needs of our patients but not having the resources to improve every patient’s situation. This is why we passionately support the work of Places for People and others working to address the shortcomings of our healthcare system
